China currency stance ‘real US concern’

The US ambassador to China says that Washington and Beijing are going to hold important negotiations over Yuan’s exchange rate in the coming weeks.

Jon Huntsman was speaking to a group of students in Beijing on Thursday.

The currency debate has caused tension between the US and China.

Washington says China holds the Yuan low so that Chinese goods can enjoy an artificial competitive edge.

The US ambassador to China also touched on the issue of human rights.
