The People’s Republic of China is celebrating 60 years since its founding with a mammoth display of national pride and ceremonial pomp.
As well as the pageant of colourful floats streaming through Tiananmen Square, the same route the Peoples Liberation Army took 60 years ago under Mao Zedongs command, also on display was the might of China’s army and its increasingly impressive military hardware.
