KINGSTON, NY, 4 May 2011— From the fans at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia to the mobs at the White House gates, “USA, USA,” was the chant heard across the nation. Jubilant Americans celebrated the breaking news that Public Enemy No.1, terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden was dead.

Ten years have passed since the Twin Towers toppled and the Pentagon was whacked. After two failing wars and billions of dollars spent on the global manhunt to bring in Bin Laden “Dead or Alive,” America has now claimed victory. “This is bigger than the moon landing, this is huge,” exclaimed Fox News’ Geraldo Rivera.

“Justice has been done,” intoned President Barack Obama announcing Bin Laden’s death. He not only called it “a good day for America,” but also declared that “The world is safer. It is a better place because of the death of Osama Bin Laden.”

While Secretary of State Hillary Clinton echoed the sentiment that “justice has been served,” she evidently took issue with the Presidential vision of a “safer” world, warning that terror “won’t stop with the death of Bin Laden, we must redouble our efforts.”

If it’s a “safer” world, why the need to “redouble our efforts”? These were but two of the contradictions coming from the White House in the early hours of the breaking story, and many discrepancies would follow. Some of them would be noted and debated, but totally absent from the 24/7 news coverage, political “high-fives” and patriotic triumphalism was the simple question: Why did Osama Bin Laden, former mujahedin ally of the United States, turn against it to become Public Enemy No.1?

Was it that he and his Al Qaeda fighters suddenly decided to hate America’s “freedom and liberties” as George W. Bush maintained? Or was it remotely possible that the attacks were motivated by US foreign policy – with its unconditional support of Israel and concomitant support of the same Middle East monarchs, autocrats and dictators now being toppled in the wave of revolution?

Also absent from America’s non-stop exultation and self-congratulation, absent from the acres of newsprint and the countless hours of air time, was any discussion of the practical consequences of the death of Bin Laden who, before making it back into the headlines, had been both a fading memory and a non-issue.
Osama Bin Who?

So irrelevant had Bin Laden and his jihad rhetoric become that, in the months preceding his assassination, every one of the uprisings occurring throughout the Middle East and North Africa was secular and in direct opposition to Bin Laden’s militant pan-Islamic vision.

In a sentence: There were no practical consequences whatsoever attending the death of Osama Bin Laden. It would do nothing to:

Help America win losing wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Lower the unemployment rate.
Stop the US or European nations from sinking deeper into recessions and depression.
Revive failing real estate markets or solve the debt and deficit crises.
Lower oil and food prices.
Reverse the damage or stop the radioactive fallout from Fukushima.

What Osama’s death did do was boost the President’s sagging poll numbers and deflect public attention from the news that really mattered.

On Wednesday, April 27th, just four days before Bin Laden was killed, a new Public Enemy No.1 held his organization’s first ever press conference. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke told the world that the United States would continue its low interest rate polices and, in effect, continue to flood the world with cheap money.

The global equity markets immediately responded to the predictably destructive consequences. Before Bernanke ended the press conference, gold prices shot up $20 an ounce, silver $2, and the dollar fell to a 3 year low against a trade-weighted basket of currencies. Despite the Chairman’s claims to the contrary, the US dollar would continue to devalue and subsequently dollar based commodity prices would soar.

Needing neither a mountain lair nor sequestration behind closed Fed doors, the new Public Enemy No.1, “Osama” Ben Bernanke committed, in broad daylight, an act of financial terrorism that would have far reaching and long lasting implications for the American public. As the value of the dollar went down, the cost of nearly everything would go up…excepting the cost of “risk.”

This meant that financiers could continue to speculate and exploit the equity markets, with the profits going only to the 10 percent of Americans that owned 90 percent of the stocks, bonds and mutual funds. Moreover, the Fed reasoned the cheap dollar would also give a competitive edge to big US exporters. But as exports rose, so did the price of imports, putting further strains on average consumers whose real wages fell ever further behind the pace of inflation.

Bombs Away

What Osama Bin Laden’s death also did was to deflect attention from the US/NATO “humanitarian” mission in Libya, which, just two days earlier, had delivered several humanitarian bombs upon the home of Muammar Qaddafi’s son, killing him and three of his children.

The bungled attempt to assassinate Qaddafi (who had been visiting his son) was condemned by Russia, brought recriminations against NATO from other UN members for overstepping the UN mandate, and called into question the legality of the air strike. With a groundswell of public sympathy building around the world for Qaddafi’s murdered grandchildren, the very purpose and future of the entire mission was being called into question.

Trend Forecast: With the death of Osama Bin Laden, the restored, rebuilt, new and improved terror bandwagon rolls again…and it will keep rolling until Election Day 2012. Whether a real terror attack happens or not, Barack Obama, as he has done before, will take a page from the G.W. Bush playbook and keep the American public in a state of fear and hysteria.

And should terror strike the US, UK, France or other NATO ally, their governments, media “presstitutes,” pundits, and the public at large will debate and deplore the “cowardly act” and demand “swift justice.” They will blame Bin Laden sympathizers, Al Qaeda cells, Muammar Qaddafi, radical Islamists…but never will they blame themselves. They will refuse to acknowledge that what they called “terror” was nothing more than “revenge”; reprisal for foreign meddling in the domestic affairs of other nations, or retaliation for military invasions launched by the US, UK, France or other NATO ally upon a sovereign nation.

Meanwhile, back in DC, the Chairman of the Fed, Public Enemy No.1, “Osama” Ben Bernanke, will mastermind the destruction of the American dollar, the US economy and the purchasing power of the American people.

As we have been forecasting for years, gold, despite its recent pull back, is on-trend to reach $2000 per ounce (and possibly higher). And while Ben Bernanke claims that inflation is merely “transitory,” considering his penchant for printing trillions of digital dollars not worth the paper it’s not printed on, we see inflation as both entrenched and rising.

AP – U.S. intelligence officials believe Osama bin Laden made a propaganda recording shortly before his death and expect that tape to surface soon.

It’s unclear whether the tape is audio or video, but a U.S. official says that intelligence indicates it’s already working its way through al-Qaida’s media pipeline. The official said the timing was coincidental and there’s no indication he knew U.S. forces were bearing down on him.

A new recording from bin Laden would provide a final word from the beyond grave for a terrorist who taunted the U.S. with recorded propaganda for years. It could also provide fodder to those who insist he is still alive.

Telegraph – Al-Qaeda terrorists have threatened to unleash a “nuclear hellstorm” on the West if Osama Bin Laden is caught or assassinated, according to documents to be released by the WikiLeaks website, which contain details of the interrogations of more than 700 Guantanamo detainees.

Huffington Post reports: Osama Bin Laden is dead, President Obama announced Sunday night, in a televised address to the nation. His death was the result of a U.S. operation launched today in Abbottabad, Pakistan, against a compound where bin Laden was believed to be hiding, according to U.S. intelligence. After a firefight, a small team of American forces killed bin Laden and took possession of his body, the president said.

AP reports: After bin Laden was killed in a raid by U.S. forces in Pakistan, senior administration officials said the body would be handled according to Islamic practice and tradition. That practice calls for the body to be buried within 24 hours, the official said. Finding a country willing to accept the remains of the world’s most wanted terrorist would have been difficult, the official said. So the U.S. decided to bury him at sea.

Michelle Malkin posts “Latest reports via Fox News live right now are that he was killed over a week ago by a US missile. There are conflicting reports on whether he was killed in Afghanistan (CBS) or Pakistan (CNN). CNN reporting that it was a “CIA asset” (read: human ground operation?) that killed bin Laden. Yahoo news reports: The United States is conducting DNA testing on slain al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and used facial recognition techniques to help identify him, a U.S. official said on Monday. Bin Laden was identified by the assault force that killed him in a firefight in Pakistan in which he resisted and was shot in the head, the official said on condition of anonymity. Results of the DNA tests should be available in the next few days, the official told Reuters.

Other sites report that Osama bin Laden died a week ago: The United States waits anxiously for President Obama’s upcoming announcement about the death of Osama Bin Laden.  Apparently he has been dead for a week, however the announcement was delayed until DNA testing could confirm with certainty that the body in US possession was actually the terrorist Osama Bin Laden.  B

The DNA has been discovered by scientists as functioning like an internal hard drive for humans, which is capable of storing massive amounts of data and transporting ancestral memories, talents, genetics etc…Psychological researchers have explained that there are keys that unlock our DNA, revealing experiences of generations of our relatives who lived long before our present time.

The royal families have been transporting DNA code for centuries intermarrying and teaching that they are superior to the rest of mankind. Henceforth, we are dealing with what we can think of as a program or even a virus which infects the royal families every generation as they pass the code along in the DNA to keep the bloodlines of these families consistent with future protocols that must be carried out.

We are dealing with beings functioning on different levels of consciousness, frequencies and alternate realities that we cannot experience or perceive. We cannot define these beings as humans by the logical definition when considering compassion and mercy. They behave more as machines without remorse for their actions.

When we consider the human body as functioning as a computer and the DNA as hard drives with data and our bodies as hardware, the psychological control they manipulate humans with can be thought of as virus software and we of course have the ability to use anti-virus software or turn off the programming.

The CPU is of course the brain and the hard drive would be here with access to DNA data. Simply walking in a sunny park to get some vitamin D to rejuvenate ourselves is a good break from the PC/TV/CELL etc… We are the hosts and must unplug from the grid in order to escape enslavement and complete mind control.

There is a pseudo-reality the elite are creating for us, which we must disassociate with on all levels whether mental, spiritual or physical. We cannot escape technology. Thus we must use it with caution, responsibility and awareness. The elite have the most nefarious and ominous plans for using technology against us. If we do not start becoming more aware of their true intentions, we will be as pawns on the chess board.

Royal families have interbred for centuries creating offspring that is insane, violent, psychotic, brilliant and unpredictable. They are very dangerous and are using your body as a vehicle to manipulate and control you in a manner which will only benefit them through media, institutions, and exotic technologies. Bloodlines mean everything to these people.

For centuries, these beings have been interbreeding and passing down perpetual insanity and cruelty through their DNA that is passing along data and memories like a USB transfer of data to the brain. It is meant to be downloaded to teach their offspring to keep in protocol with the future plans for humanity in following the guidelines for the new world order (NOW).

Many people have trouble actually imagining what the NWO will entail and how it will affect the world. Some aspects of the NWO are universally accepted.

Professional historians, investigators and researchers through the years have defined it as thus: Increased surveillance on all levels of life, a one world military, a one world police, a one world currency and leader. The implanting of chips in people which will track individuals like livestock will be placed by deception or force.

The idea of a total institution will be felt and implemented on all levels of life, erosion of liberties and personal freedoms will be the norm, annihilation of privacy, a one world religion, and the perpetual decreasing of the population through wars, abortions, poisons and other invisible toxins.

One of the most brilliant Nazi scientists who arrived to the States after WWII was Wernher Von Braun. Braun was a German rocket scientist, engineer, and space architect. Braun announced that the elitists had some major future plans in store for us and Braun on his death bed confided in Dr. Carol Rosin his fears about weapons in space.

There were, according to Braun, four cards which would be drawn and laid out in order. The goal is to install fear in people and have them conform to the wishes of the elite. They will impose their own ideologies and realities on the mass populous just as they did with the War on Terror. These cards or covert plans will help establish the NWO.

So, the first card was the Cold War which was known as the Red Scare. NATO was formed out of this to act as a defensive organization with state members which would act on the defensive against any foreign enemy which attacked a NATO member state. NATO has now become a power world military organization that invades countries and conducts mass operations of slaughter as it wishes.

After the Red Scare was exaggerated and innocent Americans were arrested for being accused of communist connections, years later a much more aggressive and fearful card was used. The 2nd card was laid out to increase the level of human fear drastically, and this level transcended anything of its like in all history.

9/11, the London and Madrid bombings were all acts of government-sponsored terrorism after intense investigations were conducted. This type of terrorism is also known as false flag operations as the blame is placed on another by the government through the media sources. After the government commits a terrorist attack and blames it on an individual or group, they are able to pass new laws, invest in security and surveillance stocks, and they know this will do well because inside info on what new legislation will be passed after such incidents.

It was al-Qaeda who they claimed attacked the US on 9/11 though this has never been proven with any rationale or scientific evidence. Now the US and NATO are fighting the war on terror, which appears to be a never ending war.

Just when Westerners and American citizens think the troops are saving us from al-Qaeda and fundamental terrorists, new terrorists pop up and our only confirmation is a picture on Fox news that could have been taken and uploaded from the internet. If you can keep the mass populations in a state of constant fear, you can then pass legislation, steal freedoms and liberties and institute a police state.

According to Braun, the third card laid out would convince us the planet was in danger of being hit by an asteroid from outer space. I don’t know if the TSA will try to molest our children at the US airports because of outer space asteroids potentially hitting us as they are because of terrorists, but hopefully not.

The final card which sounds the most bizarre is that Braun claims the US government is going to convince people we are under threat of an alien invasion.

Whether technologies such as holograms or the like are used to convince people of this, we can see again how this will install a great fear factor and people will be openly willing to crawl into underground concentration camps for protection if the TV says this is best. Fox news will convince them or Sarah Palin.

The first two cards played true. The predictions made about the NWO are manifesting whether you think it’s a conspiracy theory or not. There is truly an awakening going on with the internet; therefore, I don’t want to sound like such a pessimist. But most of the common masses simply do not want to think and research how all this is happening.

We have a lot of darkness before we can even see the light at the end of the tunnel. Their goal is to create more division and apathy amongst the humans on this planet. The elite laugh and collect the benefits that roll in from our voluntary sacrifices. They have taught us to entertain them with self-destruction of ourselves and each other. Furthermore, many of us are obeying and digging our own graves.

Just released secret cables detailing the talks held between President Medvedev and his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao at the start of the BRICS Summit, in Sanya, say that the personal letter hastily delivered to Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah [photo top left being bowed to by Obama] by President Obama’s top National Security adviser Thomas E. Donilon yesterday proves the American leader is prepared to throw Israel to the “Arab Wolves” in return for Saudi oil.

According to these cables, King Abdullah personally phoned Obama on 29 January and warned him not to humiliate embattled Egyptian President-for-life Hosni Mubarak and further stated that if the US withdrew its $1.5 Billion support to Egypt, Saudi Arabia would pay it instead.

Obama, however, refused to heed King Abdullah’s warning opting instead to back Egypt’s military that ousted Mubarak in coup and yesterday placed the former Egyptian President and his 2 sons in custody causing Mubarak to suffer a heart attack which has put him in hospital in what is described as an “unstable” condition.

So enraged did King Abdullah become after being spurned by Obama that he not only turned to both Russia and China for immediate support of his monarchy, he also ordered Saudi military troops and police to invade the neighboring Kingdom of Bahrain to put down a popular uprising that has seen thousands of protesters killed and jailed in what is the home of the American Navy’s 5th Fleet.

Though the revolution in Bahrain is still being censored from American news media outlets by Obama’s direct order, the same cannot be said of the rest of the World who stand appalled at the blatant hypocrisy that has left the US at a loss to explain its self-contradictions while it allows thousands to be killed by “friendly” dictatorial regimes, while bombing those of Nations it doesn’t like.

So insanely contradictory has US policy under Obama become, one of his top generals, US Africa Command (AFRICOM) General Carter Ham, warned this past week that many of the rebels the US and NATO are protecting in Libya are preparing to go to Iran or Afghanistan to fight and kill US Troops after they oust Kaddafi.

Even worse, new reports are emerging that the US frustration over the Libyan war has forced Washington to consider supporting al-Qaeda operatives and deploying American ground troops in Libya, while at the exact same time they are, also, said to be preparing to send American Troops into Yemen to fight al-Qaeda.

To what the worst plan of Obama’s is, however, according to Chinese leader Hu these cables say, is his preparing to throw Israel to the “Arab Wolves” after agreeing in his letter to King Abdullah to allow the formation of a Palestinian state based on the borders that existed in 1967, meaning the Israelis would have to give up their capital city Jerusalem, which they have vowed they will never do.

Though this unprecedented and historic news of Obama’s changing of official US policy towards the Jewish state has been censored in the US, it has not been elsewhere, especially in Israel where the Israeli daily Yediot Ahronot is reporting that the American’s will side with the United Nations to create a Palestinian state this September because of what “senior” US officials attribute to Obama’s latest stance to “the revolutions storming the Arab world.”

To anyone being able stop Obama from destroying Israel it appears unlikely, especially in light of him blocking a European bid to break the deadlock in the Middle East peace process at an International meeting that had been scheduled this week.

And in what has to be one of greatest historical ironies of all time, Spanish Crown Prince Felipe restated his Nation’s support for an independent Palestinian stateduring talks yesterday with Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas, a country, mind you, that in 1492 expelled all of its Jewish citizens.

To what Israel’s reaction will be to the treachery of Obama in selling them out to Saudi Arabia they have never made any secret of and describe it as the “Masada Complex” that is defined as “the conviction that it is preferable to fight to the end rather than to surrender and acquiesce to the loss of independent statehood.”

[Note: According to the 1st-century C.E. Jewish-cum-Roman historian Flaviu Josephus, after Rome destroyed Jerusalem and the Second Temple in 70, the Great Revolt ended-except for the surviving Zealots, who fled Jerusalem to the fortress of Masada, near the Dead Sea. And to how monstrously brutal the United States under Obama has become one need look no further than the celebrated Rolling Stone Magazine writer Matt Taibbi, who in his latest article titled “The Real Housewives of Wall Street” on the “shadow economy” of America describes what can only be called the largest theft in human history, and as we can, in part, read:

“…following an act of Congress that has forced the Fed to open its books from the bailout era, this unofficial budget is for the first time becoming at least partially a matter of public record. Staffers in the Senate and the House, whose queries about Fed spending have been rebuffed for nearly a century, are now poring over 21,000 transactions and discovering a host of outrages and lunacies in the “other” budget.

It is as though someone sat down and made a list of every individual on earth who actually did not need emergency financial assistance from the United States government, and then handed them the keys to the public treasure.

The Fed sent billions in bailout aid to banks in places like Mexico, Bahrain and Bavaria, billions more to a spate of Japanese car companies, more than $2 trillion in loans each to Citigroup and Morgan Stanley, and billions more to a string of lesser millionaires and billionaires with Cayman Islands addresses. “Our jaws are literally dropping as we’re reading this,” says Warren Gunnels, an aide to Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont. “Every one of these transactions is outrageous.”

Most unfortunately in all of these events are the American people remaining willfully ignorant of them, and as they will soon discover, they have done so at their peril as the bodies of their Soldiers will soon count not just in the thousands, but in the millions as their war for oil shows no mercy or no bounds.

The threats came in the mail and to date, there have been 25 letters that warn of nuclear bombs destroying America.

People who got them called the FBI and CBS 2′s Kristyn Hartman learned, the Bureau’s Chicago office is leading the investigation.

FBI Special Agent Andre Zavala said, “Yes, they alarmed a lot of people.”

Attorney Tracy Rizzo was alarmed. A number of days ago, an envelope, with a Chicago postmark and a hand-written address to her private investigations firm, came in the mail.

The letter inside said, “The Al-Qaeda organization has planted 160 nuclear bombs throughout the U.S. in schools, stadiums, churches, stores, financial institutions and government buildings.” It also said, “This is a suicide mission for us.”

The writer, who claims to be Osama Bin Laden, tells the reader the nukes are remotely controlled. “It was clear the writer wanted to scare me,” said Rizzo, “Yes, it frightened me.” Rizzo was one of eight people in the Chicago area to contact the FBI.

Agencies in Oregon, California, Texas and Florida also got the letter with the Chicago postmark.

“There are items in the letter that lead us to believe it is a hoax,” said Zavala. “There are several demands documented that aren’t fully coherent.”

He said much of what’s in the message doesn’t add up, but in a post 9-11 world, the FBI can’t let it go – even if it does appear to be a hoax.

“The FBI investigates every element. We can’t take that chance,” said Zavala.

So, why the threats?

The writer alluded to how families in Afghanistan have to live. The FBI said it will find that writer, and when it does, he could face 5 to 10 years in prison for each letter mailed. Anyone who’s received a similar letter should call the FBI.

January 28, 2011 “Daily Beast” — When Egypt had parliamentary elections only two months ago, they were completely rigged. The party of President Hosni Mubarak left the opposition with only 3 percent of the seats. Imagine that. And the American government said that it was “dismayed.” Well, frankly, I was dismayed that all it could say is that it was dismayed. The word was hardly adequate to express the way the Egyptian people felt.

Then, as protests built in the streets of Egypt following the overthrow of Tunisia’s dictator, I heard Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s assessment that the government in Egypt is “stable” and “looking for ways to respond to the legitimate needs and interests of the Egyptian people”. I was flabbergasted—and I was puzzled. What did she mean by stable, and at what price? Is it the stability of 29 years of “emergency” laws, a president with imperial power for 30 years, a parliament that is almost a mockery, a judiciary that is not independent? Is that what you call stability? I am sure not. And I am positive that it is not the standard you apply to other countries. What we see in Egypt is pseudo-stability, because real stability only comes with a democratically elected government.

If you would like to know why the United States does not have credibility in the Middle East, that is precisely the answer. People were absolutely disappointed in the way you reacted to Egypt’s last election. You reaffirmed their belief that you are applying a double standard for your friends, and siding with an authoritarian regime just because you think it represents your interests. We are staring at social disintegration, economic stagnation, political repression, and we do not hear anything from you, the Americans, or for that matter from the Europeans.

So when you say the Egyptian government is looking for ways to respond to the needs of the Egyptian people, I feel like saying, “Well, it’s too late!” This isn’t even good realpolitik. We have seen what happened in Tunisia, and before that in Iran. That should teach people there is no stability except when you have government freely chosen by its own people.

Of course, you in the West have been sold the idea that the only options in the Arab world are between authoritarian regimes and Islamic jihadists. That’s obviously bogus. If we are talking about Egypt, there is a whole rainbow variety of people who are secular, liberal, market-oriented, and if you give them a chance they will organize themselves to elect a government that is modern and moderate. They want desperately to catch up with the rest of the world.

Instead of equating political Islam with al Qaeda all the time, take a closer look. Historically, Islam was hijacked about 20 or 30 years after the Prophet and interpreted in such a way that the ruler has absolute power and is accountable only to God. That, of course, was a very convenient interpretation for whoever was the ruler. Only a few weeks ago, the leader of a group of ultra-conservative Muslims in Egypt issued a fatwa, or religious edict, calling for me to “repent” for inciting public opposition to President Hosni Mubarak, and declaring the ruler has a right to kill me, if I do not desist. This sort of thing moves us toward the dark ages. But did we hear a single word of protest or denunciation from the Egyptian government? No.

Despite all of this, I have hoped to find a way toward change through peaceful means. In a country like Egypt, it’s not easy to get people to put down their names and government ID numbers on a document calling for fundamental democratic reforms, yet a million people have done just that. The regime, like the monkey that sees nothing and hears nothing, simply ignored us.

As a result, the young people of Egypt have lost patience, and what you’ve seen in the streets these last few days has all been organized by them. I have been out of Egypt because that is the only way I can be heard. I have been totally cut off from the local media when I am there. But I am going back to Cairo, and back onto the streets because, really, there is no choice. You go out there with this massive number of people, and you hope things will not turn ugly, but so far, the regime does not seem to have gotten that message.

Each day it gets harder to work with Mubarak’s government, even for a transition, and for many of the people you talk to in Egypt, that is no longer an option. They think he has been there 30 years, he is 83 years old, and it is time for a change. For them, the only option is a new beginning.

How long this can go on, I don’t know. In Egypt, as in Tunisia, there are other forces than just the president and the people. The army has been quite neutral so far, and I would expect it to remain that way. The soldiers and officers are part of the Egyptian people. They know the frustrations. They want to protect the nation.

But this week the Egyptian people broke the barrier of fear, and once that is broken, there is no stopping them.

Mohamed ElBaradei was awarded the 2005 Nobel Peace Prize along with the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency, which he headed at the time. Since his retirement at the end of 2009, he has emerged as a political force in his native Egypt.

War is a Crime

The endless and infinite “war on terra” is bankrupting the planet. I don’t mean moral bankruptcy; that goes without saying. I mean financial bankruptcy. And don’t take my word for it. This is the argument made in a new book called “Terrorism and the Economy: How the War on Terror Is Bankrupting the World,” by Loretta Napoleoni, a financial reporter for Internazionale, l’Unita, il Caffe, Mondo e Missione, El Pais, Vanity Fair Spain, and Vanity Fair Italy.

Perhaps Napoleoni is insufficiently subservient to Wall Street to write for U.S. newspapers — unlike, say, the United States government: “Washington needs Wall Street’s help to keep international investors funding the U.S. debt,” the author explains, “which in turn provides the $1.6 billion needed each month to keep troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.” Which explains the lack of criminal prosecutions and serious regulation of Wall Street.

Napoleoni traces some surprising changes in the world financial system over the past nine years to the latest U.S. warmaking spree: “Though it may sound implausible, as soon as the West focused its attention on the war on terror, the United Arab Emirates and the rest of the Persian Gulf began experiencing an unprecedented economic boom. Money started to flow toward their economies.” The U.S. government did not investigate the sources of terrorist funding, but did put restrictions in place through the PATRIOT Act that led money launderers to take their business to Europe, which suffered from that transfer as well.

The U.S. claimed it wanted to cut off the terrorists’ lifeline, but Napoleoni finds little evidence of action behind the claim. Instead she sees Bush’s failure to pursue bin Laden’s bankers as in line with his failure to try to prevent 9-11 or to capture or bring bin Laden to trial. The 9-11 attacks were Bush’s excuse for war, and war was what he wanted.

Napoleoni sees the “war on terror” as a response to Islamic jihad and draws a comparison to Saladin’s jihad as a response to the Christian crusades. The Pope’s call to “liberate” the holy land in 1095, Napoleoni writes, was for “the starving masses of Europe . . . a way of feeding themselves and an escape from a life of misery and suffering. For the knights and nobility, it offered an opportunity for economic expansion. . . . Europe was a colony of Islam. Today the Muslim world feels equally subjugated to the West.”

One of the ultimate aims of the Islamic insurgency, Napoleoni writes, is “to bleed the American economy until it is bankrupt.” Bin Laden has “even calculated the amount of profits that Americans have accumulated from the sale of Arab oil. For every barrel sold over the last twenty-five years, he claims they pocketed $135. The total loss of income adds up to a staggering $4.05 billion per day, which he describes as the greatest theft in history.”

U.S. actions these past nine years have tended to self-inflict the economic wounds bin Laden desires, while simultaneously building al Qaeda into a more powerful and efficient enterprise. The United States had tended to tolerate money laundering because it benefitted the economy and the domestic money supply. The PATRIOT Act imposed regulations on money laundering and therefore on international banks, which immediately began advising their clients to avoid and divest from dollars. International crime syndicates took their money laundry to Europe. The war on terra also drove the price of crude oil through the roof. But it was the otherwise unregulated free-for-all on Wall Street that did the most damage to the U.S. and world economies. “The likelihood that bin Laden will destroy us is extremely low,” writes Napoleoni, “the likelihood that finance will do so is, on the other hand, extremely high, a virtual certainty.”

U.S. propaganda “magnified al Qaeda’s power exponentially. . . . On 9/11, few knew that this was nothing more than political theater and that few Muslims had ever heard of al Qaeda. . . . Saddam Hussein’s Iraq had no ties whatsoever to bin Laden. . . . [T]he invasion of Afghanistan decimated al Qaeda. Yet we believed what politicians told us.” Our policies — destabilizing Iraq, Indonesia, Pakistan, and the Horn of Africa — created shell states and easy recruitment for terrorism, which we thereby helped make more affordable. “The 9/11 attacks cost al Qaeda $500,000, while the Madrid massacre cost only $20,000, and the London suicide bombings less than $15,000. Osama bin Laden no longer operates costly training camps but relies upon the proliferation of jihadist websites to indoctrinate and train a new generation of jihadists at rock-bottom prices.” The U.S. has spent trillions on war, while Iraqis have successfully fought back for less than $200 million.

We can’t waste money this way without Wall Street, which is “as free and unregulated as it was before the credit crunch.” We’d transferred “bad risk accumulated by the private sector to the balance sheet of the state,” rather than eliminating it as needed. “In March 2009, the share prices of companies and banks ‘saved’ by governments were all below the levels at which the state had purchased them. . . . The desire to maintain, at any cost, a damaged and anachronistic system will only bring ruination.”

Instead, Napoleoni suggests, we should restructure the financial system, nationalize the banking sector, prune all the deadwood that does not serve the real economy, outlaw damaging products like derivatives, and preserve insurance operations while allowing gambling operations to collapse. We might learn from Islamic economics, which Napoleoni describes as “the opposite of capitalism”:

“In the Eastern world, the selfish behavior of each individual, aimed at maximizing profits and minimizing costs, is not believed to miraculously enrich entire nations. In the short shadow of the minarets, wealth comes from cooperation and joint ventures between banks and clients.” Drawing on this source, we might require that money always be invested in the real economy, thereby banning speculation on securities not tied to the underlying companies.

And instead of paying people to do nothing, through unemployment compensation, Napoleoni argues we should pay people, the unemployed and recent graduates, to convert our industries to clean energy, build infrastructure, and redesign our manufacturing base. Sounds like a plan that would even take care of the much bemoaned enthusiasm gap.

A chilling report issued today by Russia’s foreign military intelligence directorate (GRU) warns that “elements” of the Indonesian Islamic terrorist group Jemaah Islamiyah (the group responsible for the catastrophic 2002 Bali Bombings that killed 202 people [photo 3^rd left], mostly Western tourists) have been reported by Saudi Arabia’s General Intelligence Presidency (KSA) to have joined with al Qaeda and are “ready to strike Europe” with what many believe is a bio-weapon of mass destruction.

This Russian report has been confirmed by an unprecedented warning issued hours ago by the KSA and as we can, in part, read:

“French interior minister Brice Hortefeux says Saudi Arabia has issued an official warning about a possible al-Qaeda-led terrorist attack across Europe, and against France in particular, the BBC World Service reported. According to the report, Saudi Arabia warned that France was the target of “an imminent al-Qaeda attack”, Hortefeux said.”

KSA’s terror alert follows by days the United States re-warning that Europe should soon expect an al Qaeda led terrorist attack that US counterterrorism coordinator Daniel Benjamin warned is “still in play” and that German intelligence sources have linked to the 9/11 attacks on America.

Fueling the greatest fears of the International community, this GRU report continues, is the identification by US bio-weapons experts this past fortnight of a“radically altered” rabies virus believed to have been unleashed by Jemaah Islamiyah terrorists on Bali and to date has killed over 100 people, and led to the mass destruction of over 200,000 dogs in a fateful bid to halt its “unstoppable” spread.

The GRU further warns that France is a “prime target” due to the millions of its peoples conducting mass strikes against their right-wing led government trying to enact economic reforms and that has left that Nation on the brink of a catastrophic fuel shortage after oil workers refused to open fuel depots and nearly every major road is blocked by protesting lorry drivers.

Any attack by terrorists using bio-weapons, the GRU further warns, would have a disastrous impact on a Global economy still reeling from the fallout of the latest American banking debacle related to their growing home foreclosure scandal that has seen tens of millions of their citizens thrown out of their homes by banks that, according to news reports, may not have owned them to begin with.

Even worse are new reports coming from the United States warning that the US Federal Reserve is preparing to begin printing Trillions of Dollars in the latest“currency war” move many believe will destroy the European Union as American battles for its survival, with a “timely planned” terrorist attack being said by the GRU to be “just what Obama needs” to keep his country from completely dissolving into chaos.

Not being remembered by the American people is that in the months prior to the September 11, 2001 attacks upon their country their stock markets were near total collapse, with the week of March 12-16 seeing their greatest ever one-week losses to date and by September 6^th had fallen to levels deemed “critical”, and which is near mirror of what is occurring now.

Fortunately, for America’s elite classes that is, the 9/11 attacks allowed the US government to shut down their stock markets for over a week not allowing them to reopen until September 17^th. And when they did reopen they were no longer under threat from the massive investigation into the looting of the United States Treasury being conducted by the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) as all of that agencies files were destroyed with the destruction of one of New York Cities largest skyscrapers, the 47 story World Trade Center Building 7 that “imploded” hours after the collapse of the Twin Towers in as yet still unexplained event made more strange because it wasn’t hit by any attack.

To if the elite classes of America are, once again, preparing to hide the most massive theft of wealth in human history with yet another “terrorist” attack it is not to our knowing.

What is to our knowing, though, is that on 9/11 they were successful in “blinding” the American people to the truth of what was really happening, and the reasons for why it was being done, so why wouldn’t they do it again?

To a country that has begun training its military forces on how to run their cities, has instructed its Federal Agents to spy on its own citizens via their social networking sites, and is led by a charismatic leader who has claimed the right to assassinate any American citizen he so chooses, the answer is beyond yes, it’s a near certainty.
